International Women’s Day isn’t just about celebration—it’s about action. It’s a time to reflect on the progress we’ve made, acknowledge the work still to be done, and, most importantly, take meaningful steps toward a more inclusive, supportive, and empowering world for women.

At SVH Inc. CIC, our mission has always been to foster Strong, Vibrant, and Happy communities—where individuals, workplaces, and society as a whole thrive together. But real change doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when people feel supported, connected, and empowered to grow.
That’s why, for IWD Month, we launched Rooted in Action—a project designed to help women and workplaces cultivate the right environments for growth, resilience, and wellbeing.
Why “Rooted in Action”?
This year’s IWD theme, #AccelerateAction, urges us to take decisive steps toward equity and inclusion. But at SVH Inc., we believe that meaningful action needs strong roots.
For women to lead, innovate, and thrive, they need environments that nurture their growth—just like plants need the right conditions to flourish. That’s why we used planting as a powerful metaphor throughout this project.
So far this month, we have facilitated sessions where women and teams planted chives, sweet peas, radishes, and sage—each representing a key aspect of leadership, resilience, and community.
How These Plants Reflect Women’s Multi-faceteed Nature and Strength

As part of SVH Inc. CIC’s International Women’s Day initiative, we created a space where women could connect, reflect, and take bold steps towards change. From interactive workshops to real conversations about leadership, resilience, and wellbeing, the energy in the room was electric.
So far this IWD month, we have planted chives, sweet peas, radishes and sage.
How they align with women, they each represent the versatility and multifuncional roles of women. It was a metaphorical symbol encouraging attendees to look beyond the obvious, acknowledge the multifunctional role they and the women around them play and offer support and nourishment to help them thrive just like we do with plants.
How Rooted in Action Strengthens Workplace Wellbeing
Workplace wellbeing isn’t just about reducing stress or offering wellness perks. It’s about creating a culture where people feel valued, supported, and able to grow—both professionally and personally.
Through Rooted in Action, we help teams:
Develop a growth mindset – Just as plants need time and care, people need space to learn, adapt, and thrive in the workplace.
Strengthen connections – Workplace wellbeing is deeply tied to relationships. When people feel supported, they’re more engaged, productive, and fulfilled.
Foster inclusion – By exploring how women’s strengths contribute to dynamic, high-performing teams, we encourage organisations to create more inclusive and empowering workplaces.
Bringing Rooted in Action to Your Workplace
To continue these conversations and create lasting change, SVH Inc. CIC is offering Rooted In Action; Interactive sessions that explore resilience, leadership, and personal growth through hands-on seed planting activities and storytelling providing teams with an opportunity to use a nature-based team to explore personal and collective growth, mental wellbeing, and workplace harmony throughout March.
